Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. This full-time role provides 36 hours per week across varied 12-hour shifts, with holiday and weekend rotations.

You will coordinate patient care and work within a Magnet-designated system renowned for trauma and transplant services. Qualifications include an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skill communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

CMC serves as the region’s only Level 1 trauma center and is an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. We also serve as one of North Carolina’s 5 Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

We also serve as one of North Carolina’s five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serve as a satellite for the medical school at UNC-Chapel Hill.
