Job summary

Atrium Health University City is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Charlotte, NC. The role requires applying the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic patient care and coordinate services across the surgical team.

The RN will participate in evidence-based practice, effective communication, and clinical decision-making to ensure optimal patient outcomes, with 40 hours per week and day shifts plus on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license issued by the practicing state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• One year of operating room experience preferred.

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States

Department: 37703 Atrium Health University City - Surgery Room

Status: Full time

Hours per Week: 40

Schedule Details: Full time days 5 8‑hour shifts with on‑call required.

Pay Range: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour

Responsibilities

• Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision‑making, compassion, and effective communication to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• One year of previous operating room experience strongly preferred.
