Registered Nurse (RN), Operating Room Circulator

Job Details

Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a full-time, on-call Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room in Nashville, Tennessee. We seek an experienced OR RN Circulator to join our Operating Room team, committed to providing quality care to patients and families.

Responsibilities

1. Operate technical equipment and demonstrate proficiency in its use.
2. Assess patients' conditions pre-surgery and care for them post-operatively.
3. Position patients on the operating table and assist surgeons during procedures.
4. Maintain a sterile environment by cleaning surgical equipment and rooms.
5. Educate patients on recovery practices, including pain management and wound care.

Qualifications

1. Assess and document patient conditions accurately per facility standards.
2. Follow applicable state regulations and compliance practices.
3. Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or Baccalaureate preferred).
4. Current RN licensure in Tennessee or a compact state; BLS required, ACLS preferred.
5. Minimum one year of clinical nursing and OR experience.
6. CPAN and CAPA certifications are preferred.
