Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse with 1+ year of medical-surgical experience to assess patients and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The role administers medications, documents care, educates families, and protects patient safety in a fast-paced environment. State-of-the-art facilities and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in English
  • EMR charting is required
  • RN license is required
  • 1+ year medical surgical experience is required
  • 1+ year surgery experience is preferred
  • BLS certification required

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Assess patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans. Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols. Monitor and evaluate patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Document patient care activities meticulously to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance. Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care. Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.
