Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring equipment and supplies are sterile and functional.
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, monitoring patient vitals, and ensuring a sterile environment.
Advocate for patients by assessing their condition, anticipating needs, and providing emotional support.
Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other nursing staff to maintain seamless communication and patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and nursing interventions.
Additional Job Description
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
License and Certifications:
Current South Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification is preferred.
