Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse Provides quality patient centered care considering age specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serves as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

In our Operating Room at Chelsea, more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually in the fields of gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry, plastic surgery, and spine surgery.

Shift Available: Day Shift – 40 to 72 hours per pay period (Every two weeks)

Status Available: Full time & part time (benefit eligible)

On-call required, must be within 45 minutes of the hospital when on-call

Required Qualifications

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License
• Graduation from accredited nursing program
• Experience as a RN working in Surgical Services preferred (Pre/Post op, Operating Room, Endo/Pain)
• New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
• Canadian Nurses are encouraged to apply
