Flexibility is required to cover on-call nights, weekends, and holidays. A valid RN license and BLS certification are mandatory, with ongoing competency assessments and commitment to high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed RN and hold American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Demonstrates yearly competencies specific to unit and ability to take call.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Summary

Registered Nurse / RN Outpatient Surgery To provide safe and effective patient care, through the performance of specific duties as the Surgical Technician in the Operating Room during surgical and other invasive procedures under the direction of a registered nurse. Registered Nurse / RN Performs routine scrub duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery. Registered Nurse / RN Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current and operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment; assists with the ongoing Performance improvement Program. Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an approved operating room technician program.

Required Certification / Licensure / Registration:

Must be licensed RN

American Heart Association BLS

Demonstrates yearly competencies specific to unit. Ability to take call.

West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has been serving southern Palm Beach and northern Broward counties for over 37 years. WBMC offers general medical and surgical care, orthopedics, a robotic surgery program, a state-of-the art breast imaging center, womens and childrens services and the only level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County. Its two emergency centers, one at the main hospital and the other in Coconut Creek, are open 24-hours a day.
