Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center One Day Surgery PACU in Charlotte, NC seeks a Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced post-anesthesia care unit. The role covers both Phase I and Phase II PACU care, with a Monday–Friday schedule (0700–2030) and no call shifts, fostering skill development in perianesthesia nursing.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing program credential, an active RN license in North Carolina, BLS certification, and ACLS, with 1+ year PACU/CCU/ED experience preferred.

Qualificações

Where You Will Work:

One Day Surgery PACU is a fast‑paced and rewarding nursing environment that cares for a broad and dynamic surgical population. Our patients include those undergoing GYN, GYN/Oncology, UroGYN, Robotic procedures, General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedic Trauma, Urology, Breast Oncology, Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery, and Pediatrics. This diverse case mix offers an enriching experience for nurses looking to expand their clinical skill set and build a strong foundation in Perianesthesia nursing.

Our PACU includes a 14‑bay Phase I areaand a 13‑bay Phase II area.PACU nurses work in both phases, providing immediate post‑anesthesia recovery care as well as later‑stage preparation for discharge. This integrated model allows nurses to develop a deeper, more comprehensive knowledge of Perianesthesia nursing across the full continuum of care.

Enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule (0700–2030) with no call shifts, allowing you to grow your Perianesthesia skills while maintaining balance outside of work.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS required
• At least one year of previous Critical Care, Emergency Department, or PACU experience strongly preferred for this position.

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
