Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Part Time Oncology RN to join the team on the Oncology Unit. The role requires 24 hours per week with every third weekend commitment and holiday group coverage. Experience with chemotherapy is required to certify within 6 months for experienced nurses or 1 year for new graduates.

Pay range is $38.20–$57.30 per hour. You will join a Magnet designated unit with a strong team and a commitment to compassionate, safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Chemotherapy Administration Certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care following established standards and procedures.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing, BSN Preferred
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• All RNs are required to obtain Chemotherapy Administration Certification within 1 year.

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
