About Us

Valor is seeking a full-time 2nd shift Registered Nurse to provide their expertise at the Stellantis Chrysler Toledo Machining located in Toledo, OH.

2nd Shift: 4:00 PM-12:30 AM Monday-Friday

Occupational Health RN Duties:

  1. Coordinate care among services and across the continuum for patients with complex, long-term health care needs assigned to the clinic.
  2. Educate patients and families regarding benefits and risk factors for optimal bio-psycho-social functioning, community resources, wellness, and health promotion to enhance shared decision-making.
  3. Exercise professional nursing judgment to work with a variety of professionals, agencies, and systems.
  4. Administer fit testing, audio, vision testing, and preliminary exams.
  5. Process medical records in compliance with OSHA.
  6. Provide wound care.
  7. Process reinstatement.
  8. Conduct medical surveillance.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain appropriate logs, medical records, and other data required.
  2. Obtain and maintain necessary equipment and supplies for the plant's Medical Department.
  3. Provide first aid, treatment, follow-up, and medication for employee illness and injury as authorized by the plant Physician.
  4. Perform or request testing of employees as required.
  5. Administer immunizations as directed by the plant Physician.
  6. Ensure that a complete and confidential medical record is maintained on each employee.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (BSN is required).
  2. Current unrestricted nursing licensure in the state of MI.
  3. Occupational Health or Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) is preferred.
  4. Nurses with Emergency Room, Urgent Care, or Occupational Health experience preferred (fast-paced environment).
  5. Must hold current and valid BCLS certification.
  6. Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience, including familiarity with OSHA regulations.
  7. Must have current PPD.
  8. Must have skills and knowledge in health and safety education, counseling, environmental health, safety, rehabilitation, and human relations.
