The Registered Nurse renders professional nursing care to patients in the Women's Center / Pediatric Area at Nacogdoches Medical Center, working under medical staff direction and hospital policies.

Direct and indirect patient care, collaboration with multiple disciplines, and adherence to safety protocols are essential, with emphasis on compassionate service and ongoing professional development.

Formación

• Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Minimum Experience: RN with minimum of 1 year Nursing experience required
• Required Certification: BLS & NRP Required; ACLS preferred – must have within 3 months of hire
• Required Licensure: Valid Texas RN license

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Women's Center / Pediatric Area
• Support medical staff and adhere to hospital policies
• Demonstrate competency in care interventions and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Maintain a safe patient environment and respond to emergencies
• Administer medications and monitor fluid/volume replacement as required
• Address psychosocial needs of families and mother-infant bonding

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse renders professional nursing care to patients assigned in the Women's Center / Pediatric Area, in support of medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital. Work encompasses direct and indirect care, patient care, and collaboration with other disciplines involved in the provision of care.

• Demonstrates competency in correctly administering and maintaining fluid/volume replacement measures.
• Demonstrates competency in the correct administration of medications and treatments.

  • symbiotic relationships and mother-infant bonding

Qualifications
