Job summary

Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor/Delivery who will provide care to mothers and newborns with a focus on safety and comfort. The role requires a California RN license and active certifications in Fetal Monitoring, NRP, ACLS, and BLS.

You should have at least one year of RN experience in Labor/Delivery and Nursery, with postpartum exposure preferred. The hospital emphasizes professional development and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• California RN license required.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required; renewal every two years.
• AWHONN Basic/Advanced Fetal Monitoring training within specified timelines.
• NRP certification required; completion of AAP/AHA course.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum one year of RN experience in Labor/Delivery and Nursery.

Responsibilities

• California RN license is required.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications must be maintained.
• Complete specific Fetal Monitoring courses as part of New to Specialty training.
• Prerequisite for hire: NRP, AAP, and AHA training.

Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California, is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:

• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring. Successful completion of course every two years.
• AWHONN Basic Fetal Monitoring class within New to Specialty training program.
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring class within 9 months of hire into a New to Specialty training program).
• NRP Successful completion of course of the AAP and AHA.
• ACLS
• BLS
• One year experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor/Delivery and Nursery required.
• One year experience as a Registered Nurse in Post Partum, preferred.
• RN’s with less than one-year experience must complete a 12 - 16 week preceptorship program.
