Anna Jaques Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse Administrative Supervisor for per diem shifts in Newburyport, MA. You will oversee nursing staff, coordinate admissions, and ensure safe staffing levels within a leading community hospital.

Requirements include accredited nursing program graduation with MA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS (AVADE training provided). 5+ years of hospital nursing and supervisory experience are preferred, with potential for growth

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN or MSN preferred.
• MA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 5 years hospital nursing experience with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates areas of improvement to Department Director and Chief Nursing Officer.
• Acts as a resource for nursing staff on clinical concerns.
• Monitors and assigns placement of new admissions and transfers.
• Monitors hospital activity during shifts and ensures resources for care.

Responsibilities

• When appropriate, communicates areas of improvement to Department Director(s) and/or Chief Nursing Officer.
• Acts as a resource for nursing staff for clinical concerns. Resource can demonstrate, educate, recommend as needed.
• Monitors and assigns placement of new admissions and transfers during shift.
• Monitors all activity throughout the hospital during a given shift, is aware of all critical patient situations and ensures appropriate resources for care as assigned.
• Maintains safe and appropriate staffing levels in compliance with staffing policies.
• Staffs units appropriate labor hr/stat for a given unit.
• Identifies and resolves interpersonal and/or professional conflicts that may occur when dealing with other members of the hospital team.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of budget management as it relates to staffing, overtime, and supplies.
• Provides appropriate written justification for budget/staffing variances.

Scheduled Hours: Per Diem Work Shift: Rotating

Education Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN, MSN preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required: State of Massachusetts RN licensure BLS Certification ACLS PALS AVADE - *Training will be given to staff member if not presently trained.

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Preferred: TNCC Experience: a minimum of 5 years nursing experience in a hospital setting. Progressive clinical and supervisory experience required.

Pay Range: $38.46 - $82.69 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
