Mercy South Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO seeks a Registered Nurse Nurse Navigator to guide oncology patients through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and follow-up, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring high-quality, timely care.
You will educate patients and families, facilitate referrals, document in EPIC, track outcomes, and serve as a clinical resource across the cancer care continuum.
The Nurse Navigator is nursing specialist who follows patients across the continuum of care. The Navigator coordinates with an advanced level of clinical expertise, all aspects of treatment and care for, and in collaboration with, Mercy’s patients, their family and significant others, physicians, interdisciplinary team, and other support staff.

Overview Mercy South Sindelar Cancer Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Navigator to serve as a trusted guide and advocate for oncology patients and their families throughout their cancer journey. In this role, you will coordinate care, provide education, help remove barriers to treatment, and support patients from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and follow-up care. Working closely with oncologists, advanced practice providers, infusion nurses, social workers, radiation oncology, and other interdisciplinary team members, you will help ensure patients receive timely, coordinated, and high-quality care while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes. In 1843, the Sisters of Mercy came to the United States. In 1856, they traveled to St. Louis. In the years to come, they would establish hospitals throughout the Midwest. Many of these would join together in 1986 as Mercy.
