The role provides clinical oversight of hospital operations, works therapeutically with patients, follows physician orders, conducts assessments, develops and updates treatment plans, manages patient care, facilitates group and individual therapy/education, coordinates referrals, and applies treatment interventions including restraints or seclusion. Responsibilities also include meeting patient goals, maintaining clinical documentation, IV administration, educating families, and supervising other mental health staff.
