Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) at Summit Oaks Hospital, a leading behavioral health facility in New Jersey. This full-time role requires night shifts and offers a $12,000 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include patient assessment, behavioral management, and medication administration.

Qualified candidates will hold a current New Jersey RN license and preferably a BSN. The position provides competitive compensation, health benefits, and various opportunities for professional growth and development.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey RN licensure is mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing or 2 years of medical/surgical experience.
• Graduate of NLN accredited program preferred.
• ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred.

• Assess and respond to medical needs of patients.
• Conduct safety checks and implement behavioral management techniques.

This is a Full Time position from 7pm - 7am, 3 days a week, 36 hours a week. There is opportunity to cover various shifts and pick up overtime if interested. This position qualifies for a $12,000 Sign on Bonus.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assess and respond to medical needs of patients under the guidance of the physicians.
• Conduct safety checks and implement appropriate behavioral management techniques.
• Monitor, report, and document patient behaviors and overall well being.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as needed under the guidance of treatment team.
• Maintain the core values and mission of Summit Oaks Hospital.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements

• Current New Jersey RN licensure; BSN/BS preferred.
• Minimum requirements are one (1) year of psychiatric nursing experience, or two (2) years of medical/surgical experience with proven leadership, strong clinical skills, and high motivation.
• Graduate of NLN accredited program preferred.
• ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.
