AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL seeks a Registered Nurse for night shifts. You will perform comprehensive assessments, build care plans, administer meds, educate families, and coordinate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires an RN license, BLS, and an associate degree in nursing, with BSN preferred. 1+ year in acute care is preferred; great benefits begin on day one.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required; BLS certification required.
• 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and outcomes.

Job Description

Schedule: Full-time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
