Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) with weekend rotation. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients, and coordinate with the care team.

The role requires an ASN in Nursing, Florida RN license, BLS, and at least 6 months of RN experience; benefits start day one include medical/dental/vision, PTO, retirement plan, parental leave, and wellbeing resources.

Qualifications

• Requires Nursing degree and active RN license in Florida or multi-state license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate them regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.

Job Description

Schedule: Full-time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing
• Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of six (6) months prior Registered Nurse experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
