Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Nursing Education department. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with benefits eligibility.

You will implement nursing plans, provide comprehensive patient care across age groups, and support critical care activities including cardiac monitoring and ventilator management. Prior RN experience and GA/AL licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in GA or AL as determined by job location.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Responsibilities

• Implement the nursing process based on knowledge and experience.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care for child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Deliver critical care including cardiac monitoring, emergency management, IV infusion, ventilator management and invasive lines.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for providing age appropriate patient care to include the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient which addresses biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and patient/family educational needs. The Registered Nurse provides critical care, which includes but is not limited to, continuous cardiac monitoring, emergency care management, continuous IV admixture infusion, ventilator management, invasive line management, and providing patient ADL's.

The Qualified Candidate Will Possess The Following

• Education
• A graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Experience
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
• Licensure/Certification
• A licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or Alabama as determined by job location
• ACLS and BCLS certification
• Interpersonal requirements
• Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, has a commitment to customer service.
• Communicates effectively with all applicable customers and age groups.
• Works effectively with patients and family, maintains a cooperative working relationship with the medical staff and other members of the health team.
