Advocate Health’s 6 Cancer Center Oncology unit in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 40-bed oncology unit with dedicated leukemia and HOA services. The RN will provide compassionate, comprehensive nursing care and support patients and families across the care continuum.

We offer full-time hours (35.1 per week), night shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package. A valid RN license and BLS are required; the unit emphasizes evidence-based practice and patient-centered

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead with evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and effective communication to ensure patient safety and the best patient experience.

Where You Will Work

6CC is a 40 bed oncology unit that has 20 beds dedicated to our Leukemia service and 20 beds dedicated to our HOA service. HOA is an oncology service that provides symptom management for a wide variety of cancer patients. They focus on treating the side effects of cancer treatment ie: nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, pain management, fevers/infections, failure to thrive, etc. We provide compassionate and supportive care to our patients and their families.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  
  

What You’ll Do

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
