Registered Nurse (RN), Neuroscience Unit Nights

Frye Regional Medical Center is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuroscience Unit (Nights) in Lenoir, NC.

Position Details:

• Full-time Nights
• $20,000 Sign-on Bonus eligible with a 2-year commitment

About Frye Regional Medical Center:

Located in Hickory, NC, with 355 beds, part of Lifepoint Health, committed to making communities healthier.

Your Role:

Provide professional nursing care to neuroscience and spine patients, collaborating with the healthcare team, performing assessments, administering treatments, and educating patients and families.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting initial and ongoing assessments
• Implementing care plans and treatments
• Monitoring and documenting patient conditions
• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Coordinating care across disciplines
• Providing patient and family education

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Current RN license in NC or multi-state (compact)
• BLS certification; NIH Stroke Scale within 3 months
• 1-3 years of acute care experience preferred; new graduates accepted

Skills:

• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, stress management

Department Details:

• 3 12-hour shifts, 6:45 am - 7:00 pm and 6:45 pm - 7:00 am
• Neuro/Ortho experience preferred
• 20-bed unit with patients undergoing spine/neck/head surgery, stroke, and seizures
