7T is a Neuro Progressive Care Mixed Acuity unit - Henry Ford Jackson


Midnight Shift - 2 - 12 hr/week - 7pm - 7:30am with rotating weekends/holidays

GENERAL SUMMARY:



  • Shift: 7pm - 7:30am

  • Sign On Bonus

  • Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.

  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

  • Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.

  • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.






















EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • BSN preferred.

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire

  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire.

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • Minimum 1 year hospital inpatient RN experience

  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, titrating vasoactive drips, post-surgical care, post PCI care, and chest tubes

  • Professional Certifications to support a culture of nursing excellence

  • Participation in Professional Advancement Ladder (PAL)


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:



  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
