Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (Missouri or compact state).
• ACLS and BLS certifications required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care in the Neuro PCU.
• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians.
• Advocate for patients to support an exceptional patient experience.

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

The Neuro Progressive Care unit offers comprehensive, advanced care and treatment to minimize the effects of stroke, helping patients recover their health and functioning, and make the most of their capabilities so patients get back to their lives! Designated by The Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and by the State of Missouri as a Level 1 Time Critical Diagnosis Center of Excellence, Research Medical Center's Stroke Center treats more than 1,200 stroke patients each year from the Kansas City area and surrounding regions. #1 stroke center in Missouri 2 two years in row. Recognized by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for Gold Plus stroke standards.

What qualifications you will need

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
