Atrium Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 6 South Neuro-Telemetry unit at High Point Medical Center. This 36‑hour weekly role involves three 12‑hour shifts, 7am–7pm, with every third weekend. The unit cares for adult neurology patients with high-acuity needs and requires teamwork and strong nursing skills.

Required: nursing program completion, state RN license, BLS, and 1+ year RN experience preferred. Competitive pay range listed.

Where You Will Work

The 6 South Neuro-Telemetry Unit at High Point Medical Center a 36‑bed Progressive Care/Step‑Down unit caring for adult patients with higher‑acuity medical needs. The unit specializes in neurological conditions—including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, and other acute neurologic disorders—as well as caring for patients requiring close cardiac or respiratory monitoring, complex chronic disease management, and ICU step‑down support. Staffed by a collaborative team of RNs, LPNs, and NAs who work closely with one another to provide high quality care. 6 South offers broad exposure to diverse medical and neurological conditions, providing an excellent environment to build and strengthen core progressive‑care nursing skills.

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Greater than 1 year of RN experienced preferred (RNs with less than 1 year of experience - Please apply to postings that include “New Graduate RN” in the title.)

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
