Neuro IMC

This is a 25-bed adult medical-surgical unit serving neuroscience patients and various surgical populations, including ENT, Trauma, GYN-ONC, GU, and Oral Surgery. The unit manages post-operative neurosurgical and stroke patients, working with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes. It collaborates with neurology, case managers, NCCU, NIMC, PT, OT, Speech, social work, and the Stroke coordinator to ensure seamless care. The unit also serves Level 1 trauma patients aged 15 and above, recognizing their unique needs, and utilizes evidence-based practices to achieve the best patient outcomes.

Job Profile Summary

This role involves providing professional and non-professional nursing care services according to physician orders. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care needs of patients or performs clinical support tasks within the scope of practice to achieve patient care plans. A nursing license is required. This is a professional individual contributor role that may involve directing lower-level professionals or managing processes and programs. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation, or delivery of processes, programs, and policies using specialized knowledge acquired through advanced education. The role typically involves managing projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision, coaching, reviewing work, and resolving complex problems.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license or license eligible.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Specialty nursing certifications.
