RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. This full-time, night-shift position emphasizes teamwork, compassionate pediatric and neonatal care, and evidence-based practice.

You will provide comprehensive assessments, administer medications, educate families, and document in EPIC EMR. The role supports professional growth and requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, and a BSN preferred, with familiarity in emergency care

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening as needed.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and readiness for next care phase.
• Document accurately in the EMR to support continuity and safety.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience ideally emergency room nursing and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. In this role, you will work 7p-7:30a and every other weekend and rotating holidays. The work week is 36 hours per week.
