Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking an RN to join the PCU Multisystem unit for night shift (7:00 pm - 7:00 am). Eligible clinicians can earn up to 20% salary increases through the Clinical Ladder Program based on experience and advancement criteria.

The role involves comprehensive assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient education, and close collaboration with the medical team. RN license and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and update as needed.

• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and maintain effective communication.
• Document patient information, care activities and outcomes accurately in the medical record.

Unit Highlights

PCU Multisystem (MSU) provides inpatient medical care to individuals needing evaluation and medical stabilization prior to moving to a Behavioral Health unit. We are a unique team that focuses on the complex needs of both medical and psychiatric component of our patients while providing the best care.

Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend and holiday rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
