Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit (MSICU).

The RN will assess critically ill patients, devise care plans, adjust critical medications and monitoring to maintain stability, and oversee invasive procedures as needed. This is a full-time night shift with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Position Purpose: At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) delivers patient care to individuals in critical condition.

What You Will Do

Assume responsibility for Critical Care Patients, conducting assessments, devising care plans, and adjusting critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation levels. Attend to patients requiring advanced monitoring, heightened observation, utilization of invasive equipment, and administration of intricate medication regimens.

Minimum Qualifications Required

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• Preferred: Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire

Position Highlights

• Full-Time: 36 hrs/week – Night Shift Rotating weekends and holidays
• Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience.
• Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95.
