The Medical/Respiratory ICU at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is a 24-bed adult intensive care unit caring for a high-acuity, critically ill patient population. Nurses work alongside a multidisciplinary team that include Intensivists, Respiratory therapists, Pharmacists, consultative specialists, care management, and rehabilitation services. Ongoing support and education are available to help advance nursing practice through opportunities such as the Critical Care Academy, preceptorship, hands‑on training, certification support for CCRN, ACLS, NIHSS, CRRT, and continuous learning. MRICU is well known for having a highly engaged nursing team due to dedicated staff, exceptional leadership and a team desire to support nursing collaboration to build and strengthen the core critical care skills needed to care for complex patients. Candidates should have at least one year of adult inpatient acute care experience.
