Qualifications

  • One year of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency.
  • Strongly preferred: One year of Labor & Delivery experience.

Join to apply for the Registered Nurse (RN) LDRP - PRN, Days role at Texas Health Resources

Work location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013

Work hours: PRN, Nights, 7:00am – 7:00pm; 6 shifts per 6 week schedule required

Mom/Baby Department Highlights

  • Level II Maternal Designation with Level II NICU
  • Certified Nurse Midwife Hospitalist Based Model
  • 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms
  • 40 – 45 deliveries per month
  • Small team focused on BIG teamwork!

Here’s What You Need

  • Diploma in Nursing or an Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
  • BSN preferred
  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program
  • One year of in Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
  • RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care

What You Will Do

Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assess the patient
  • Plan the care of the patient
  • Intervene as appropriate
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporate age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information
  • Maintain continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
