Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• ASN or Nursing diploma required; BSN within five years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Prior patient care experience; EMR systems experience (EPIC).
• 1–2 years in Acute Behavioral Health/Mental Health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening early.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to support timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and readiness for next care steps.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification, ACLS and PALS. ASN or Nursing diploma required. If candidate possesses ASN or Nursing diploma, must agree to complete BSN within five years of hire date. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.1-2 years experience on an Acute Behavioral Health, Mental Health, Crisis or Psychiatricunit.

Mental Health First Aide Certificate preferred or willing to obtain upon successful completion of orientation.

This position offers a consistent24 hours per week on day shift.
