Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Teaching Unit - Sign On Bonus - Day Shift - Christiana

Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to work 36 hours per week on the Day Shift (7a - 7:30p) at our Christiana Hospital on the 5C Medical Teaching Unit. Weekend and Holidays are per department guidelines.

The 5C Medical Teaching Care team includes Medical nursing staff, Hospitalists, and specialized consultants. Your expertise in assessing patients’ physical and emotional status, past health history, health practices, and education about their disease process and treatment will be vital. As a medical nurse, you will engage in a relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients, families, and your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.

We will plan and execute nursing care to promote patient wellness and comfort, involving you in all aspects of care, managing a team of 5 medical/surgical patients per shift, and collaborating within the multidisciplinary team to achieve healthcare goals and meet educational needs for patients and their families. You will closely monitor patients, manage emergencies, and provide ongoing supportive care. After treatment and goal attainment, you will assist in transitioning patients to appropriate care levels.

General Requirements:

  • BSN required.
  • ADN candidates must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire and may be considered with relevant experience.
  • Qualified applicants will have at least one year of experience, with acute or sub-acute care experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.

Successful candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus paid over 12 months.
