Texas Health Resources seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical unit in Frisco, TX. This role requires delivering high-quality patient care during PRN nights, handling post-surgical, telemetry, and observation duties. **Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical - PRN Nights**

**Work location:** Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway Frisco, TX 75033
**Work hours** : PRN Nights (varied hours) as needed. Weekend and holiday requirements
**Department highlights:**
+ Overflow Med Surg Unit
+ Established Unit based council
+ Fast paced, high turnover department that takes post-surgical, telemetry and observation patients
**Here’s What You Need**
· Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or
· Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or
· Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref
· 1 Year experience as a Registered Nurse Req
· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req And
· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support charge only 90 Days Req
**What You Will Do**
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
+ Assesses the patient
+ Plans the care of the patient
+ Intervenes as appropriate
+ Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
+ Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
+ Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
+ Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
