Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. You will perform patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly evaluating and adjusting.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.

Job Description:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
