Position Purpose
At Saint Francis Hospital, the Medical Cardiology unit provides care to a diverse array of patients, focusing on cardiac populations such as MI, Chest Pain, and Arrhythmias. The unit also functions as an overflow MICA (intermediate care) unit and a Level 1 Stroke unit. Nurses work 9-9 and are exposed to various patient populations beyond cardiac. The unit has expert charge nurses available as clinical resources to ensure smooth operations. Leadership and educators are committed to supporting new hires through tailored orientation programs.
