A leading healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg/Telemetry Stroke Unit in Towson, MD. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from stroke and telemetry-monitored conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This full-time role includes working 36 hours per week, primarily during night shifts, and requires extensive experience in Med Surg and telemetry nursing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years recent Med Surg and Telemetry experience.
• 2+ years experience with stroke patients.
• NIHSS certification required.
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Maryland RN license or Compact License required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and neurological changes in stroke patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document care, patient progress, and changes in condition.
• Respond promptly to critical changes in patient status.
• Provide patient/family education and emotional support.

Hours:36 hours/week guaranteed
Pay Rate:$58/hr. on W2

The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from stroke and other telemetry-monitored conditions. This role demands clinical precision, rapid decision-making, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with nursing standards and client policies
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and neurological changes in stroke patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Accurately document care, patient progress, and changes in condition
• Respond promptly to critical changes in patient status
• Provide patient/family education and emotional support
• Float to care for telemetry patients as needed
  

Required Experience & Certifications:

• 2+ years recent Med Surg and Telemetry experience–REQUIRED
• 2+ years experience with stroke patients–REQUIRED
