Job summary

Mercy is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the General Surgery 3W unit at Mercy Hospital South. Schedule is 24 hours per week, days 7a-7p.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating care, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality in a compassionate team environment. The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate, RN licensure in the hiring state or compact, and BLS certification (or within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must hold RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience.

Schedule:Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7a-7p

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.

• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.

• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
