Duke Regional Hospital is the second largest of Duke Health's three hospitals and offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, and diagnostic services, including orthopedics, weight-loss surgery, women's services, and heart and vascular services.
The Med/Surg unit at Duke Regional Hospital is a 34-bed unit caring for patients with a wide range of diagnoses including those requiring cardiac telemetry. This unit also serves as a specialty unit for patients with respiratory illnesses that require higher oxygen demands but who do not meet ICU criteria. Our patient-centered team of healthcare professionals is committed to promoting excellence in patient care through best practices, innovation, research, and compassionate support. Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families within the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
