Job summary

North Central Baptist Hospitals in San Antonio, TX seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Unit under minimal supervision, providing nursing care for a group of patients and completing required competencies during onboarding.

Education includes graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred. Texas RN license and BLS are required; 2 years in acute Med/Surg experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (Preferred).
• 2 years in acute care Med/Surg (Preferred).
• Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS for all—Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or Military Training Network.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients' needs with the nurse's competencies.
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period and performs related duties as assigned.

Education

Certifications

• Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse / RN
• BLS required for all-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
