Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
An RN uses a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze data about a patient, including physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
Clinical judgment about the patient’s response to health conditions or needs.
Set measurable and achievable goals in collaboration with the patient and family. Develop and document care plans.
Carry out care according to the plan, ensuring continuity and documenting care provided.
Continuously assess patient status and care effectiveness, adjusting the plan as needed.
Manage and coordinate care from admission to discharge, including delegation, supervision, and prioritization.
