Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process. You will coordinate patient care with other departments and uphold patient rights and confidentiality while meeting Mercy Service Standards.

The role is based at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO with a 36-hour weekly schedule on the day shift and a sign-on bonus for new grads and experienced RNs. BLS is required, with additional certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or possess compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.

Schedule:Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

• $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for New Graduate RNs


• $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for RNs with 1+ Years of Experience

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing


• Nursing Diploma


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred


• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred


• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly


• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift


• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
