University Hospitals is seeking a Nurse for the Flex Unit in Beachwood, OH, working Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 7pm to 7:30am. The nurse provides safe, age-specific care using the nursing process, demonstrates relationship-based care, and collaborates with the team to optimize clinical operations.

Qualifications

RN license with Ohio and/or Multi State Compact (Required Upon Hire)
BLS (Required Upon Hire)
ACLS may be required depending on unit standards
PALS may be required depending on unit standards

Job description

A Brief Overview

This position is for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 7pm to 7:30am.

The Flex Unit serves as an overflow unit and consists of curtained patient spaces with half walls rather than traditional private rooms. Nurses working on this unit will need to be comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where patient volume and operational needs can change quickly. At times, the team will be responsible for opening the unit and admitting patients, while at other times they will be preparing patients for transfer as the unit transitions toward closure.

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
