LOCATION: Lancaster, PA

HOURS: Per Diem (16 hrs per month), as needed.

A 20-bed Medical/Cardiac Telemetry Unit. The patient population varies with MS patients and cardiac overflow. Diagnoses include pneumonia, various lung diseases, abdominal pain, infections, chest pain, post-cardiac interventions.

Summary:

  • Assume responsibility and accountability as defined by the American Nurses Association standards of nursing practice. The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague is an RN practicing as a full partner on the healthcare team, demonstrating safe practice within the organizational professional practice model.
  • The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague possesses the knowledge, skills, and attitude to meet standards for competent professional nursing practice. They provide patient care through the nursing process and accept accountability for the care of assigned patients, ranging from infancy to the elderly.
  • The Clinical Nurse 2 Colleague demonstrates competencies in Continuous Quality Improvement, Evidence-Based Practice and Research, Leadership, Person and Family Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Technology Informatics, and Teamwork.
  • Works closely with the interprofessional healthcare team to coordinate care across the continuum, focusing on individualized care considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age-related factors.
  • Seeks and provides feedback to improve clinical practice, demonstrating how nursing impacts the organization's mission and care delivery system, and complies with all regulatory standards.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • RN licensure issued by the PA Board of Nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree.
  • Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or more than 15 months of practice.
  • CPR Certification - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), required within 30 days of hire.
  • In good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs.
