For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering sign-on bonuses for Registered Nurses:

  1. Registered Nurses - New Graduates to 2 years of experience: $10,000 (full-time)

  2. Registered Nurses with more than 2 years of experience: $20,000 (full-time)

Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part-time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employee members are ineligible; former MaineHealth members are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation from employment.

Nurse Residency Program (NRP)

  1. New graduate RNs (less than 1 year of experience from licensure date) accepting a position with MaineHealth are automatically enrolled in our yearlong nurse residency program.

  2. The NRP provides guidance and support to new nurses starting their careers.

  3. Participants meet monthly to facilitate the transition to a professional RN through training, continued learning, group exercises, and more.

Night Shift (7-7)

  • Full Time: three 12-hour shifts

  • Option for Every Other or Every 3rd Weekend Rotation

  • Self-Scheduling

Med Surg Unit - Adult Acute Care (MS3)

A 56-bed / 36 telemetry-medical/surgical unit focusing on complex adult patient populations, including cardiac, pulmonary, GI, post-surgical, and orthopedics cases.

Develop and utilize advanced organizational, prioritization, communication, and leadership skills while collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals in a team-oriented environment.

Role Summary: The Registered Nurse - New Graduate - Acute Care role involves progressing toward competency and independence in patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The program supports new graduates transitioning from students to competent clinical practitioners.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.

  2. License/Certifications: Valid state license as a Registered Nurse required. BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

  3. Experience: None required.
