Job summary

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a Constant Observer for the night shift to support Saint Vincent Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, MA. You will observe patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses and report observations to protect patients from injury or elopement.

You will monitor patients continuously, document changes, and provide one-to-one supervision while collaborating with nursing staff to ensure safety and timely interventions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Enrollment in a professional nursing program with fundamentals completed and current in first year of clinical rotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients under RN/LPN direction and report observations to protect patients from harm and elopement.
• Continuously monitor patients to identify behaviors that may lead to self-harm or harm to others.
• Observe and document patient conditions and changes; communicate findings to RN/LPN.
• Provide one-to-one patient supervision as assigned to maintain safety.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent injury and elopement and report risks immediately.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to support care plans and ensure timely intervention.
• Perform related duties as required.

• Assist in preventing patient injury and elopement by remaining alert, following established safety protocols, and reporting potential risks immediately.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to support patient care plans and ensure timely intervention when safety concerns arise.
• Performs related duties as required.

Required:Education: High school diploma or GED.

Preferred:Education: Enrollment in a professional nursing school with completion of fundamentals of nursing (lecture and clinical), and currently in first year of clinical rotation.
