Job summary

Aurora Health Care's Oshkosh Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg 2 North unit (Surgical/Neuro). The RN will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process in a 12-hour shift environment.

You will benefit from mentorship, educational reimbursement for BSN and certifications, and an orientation plan with opportunities to float across other Med/Surg units to broaden your experience.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
  • Lead with evidence-based practice to ensure patient safety and quality care.

We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Requirements & Expectations
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and collaborate in a team-based care model
  • Commitment to professional development and participation in shared decision-making
  • Flexibility to float to other Med/Surg units as needed
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for patient-centered care

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
