Right Hire Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg in Kentucky to provide direct patient care using the nursing process. The role includes documentation, monitoring patient status, and collaboration with the care team to coordinate transfers and discharges.

The position emphasizes patient advocacy, education for patients and families, and adherence to practice standards. KY licensure required.

Qualifications

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.

About the job Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be obtained within 45 days of hire.

Licenses:

• Current license as an RN in the state of KY or compact state.
• New Graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to 6 months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.

Required Skills

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Plans and documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
