Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA, seeks a nursing leader to support the Chief Nursing Officer and oversee all nursing and patient care functions across the hospital. The role requires ensuring high-quality, safe care, staff competency, and resource management with 24/7 responsibility for Same Day Surgery and PACU.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, at least 2 years of progressive management in a hospital setting, and a BSN or higher.

• 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting.
• Bachelor's or master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization. The role will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a unit level. Role assumes 24/7 responsibility of Same Day surgery and PACU. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
• Has highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability, and ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
• Provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization
• Performs related duties as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Minimum Education: Academic degree in nursing.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
• PreferredEducation: Bachelor's or master's degree.
