Job Summary

TheNurse Managerfor 8 Main is responsible forleading daily clinical operations, patient care coordination, staffing, and throughput management. Reporting to theAVP-Service Line and Unit-Based Director, this role ensuresexceptional patient care, staff engagement, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provideleadership and operational oversightfor the unit, ensuring high-quality, efficient patient care.
• Act as theliaison between physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionalsto enhance communication and workflow.
• Overseepatient assignments, resource management, and throughputto optimize care delivery.
• Participate indaily interdisciplinary rounds, ensuring safe and effective discharge planning.
• Supervise, coach, and mentorRNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnelto foster professional growth.
• Collaborate with theUnit Directorto supportstaff performance evaluations, quality initiatives, and professional development.
• Leadprocess improvement effortsto enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
• Monitordepartmental budget, staffing needs, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accreditedSchool of Nursing.
• Experience: Minimumtwo (2) years of previous nursing experiencein aMed/Surg Telemetryor similar acute care unit, withprogressive leadership responsibilities(e.g., charge nurse, team lead).
• Licensure: CurrentRN license with the Georgia State Board of Nursingor eNLC equivalent.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
