Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a U.S. state; ability to obtain Alaska RN license.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions safely and accurately.
  • Monitor resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide resident and family education regarding treatments, care plans, and health conditions.
  • Supervise and delegate duties to LPNs, CNAs, and support staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation.
  • Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with emergency response and resident safety initiatives.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and provides professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting.
